Back To Archery

Back To Archery

In accordance with government guidelines and Archery GB we can commence outdoor sports as from Monday 29th March. I am pleased to inform you that the booking system is now open for booking time slots from the 29th. The system will be just the same as before except the time slots will be extended to 3 hours again as we are approaching lighter nights and mornings. (The clocks go forward on Saturday night/ Sunday morning).

If you haven’t shot for a while we recommend that you ease back into archery gently so as not to incur any muscle strain or the like.

All the same rules still apply regarding hygiene and cleanliness.

If any of our newer members would like a refresher on archery technique or any other archery related aspects then let me know and I will try to arrange for one of our coaches to attend.

We are allowed to run our own internal competitions, so until we can all meet ‘normally’ we are going to start with the St. George’s day competition on the 25th April and this will last for a week to allow as many people to enter should they wish. Please let Graham have your scores preferably through Golden Records.

Finally, it is now the time of year when your club subscription is due (1st April) – adults (over 18) £60.00 – juniors £30.00.

The committee realise that you haven’t had much shooting for your money over the past year but without your subscriptions the club would have difficulty in operating and especially without any income from beginner courses and have-a-go’s our funds have been depleted. However, we are starting to think about starting up beginner courses again, taking it slowly with reduced numbers as we have over 130 people registered at present. We all hope for better times and some sort of ‘normality’ in the months ahead. Until then keep staying safe
