2022 Club Competitions
For all future Club Competitions we have decided to replace the “New Member” category with a “Handicap” category to allow as many new (and established) members to take part in these competitions. Previously, some members have been put off entering because they felt unable to shoot the distances required for their category. With the new format, if you are unable to (or choose not to) shoot the Gents, Ladies or Junior category you may elect to shoot in the Handicap category where you can elect which round to shoot. The only requirement for entry is that you must have a handicap, i.e. you must have shot and submitted three scores for any recognised ArcheryGB rounds.
Those shooting in the Handicap category will be given a handicap allowance (based on their actual handicap and the round they have chosen to shoot) which will be added to their final score with the highest score winning the category.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask on of the committee.
Finally, can I please encourage all of you to enter the club competitions, rest assured there will be a round you can shoot.
The revised list of competitions can be read here or downloaded from the Resources page.
